Her Memory Baskets was designed by Ingrid Gilmore. Her first memory of this delicate moment was confusing. Her first time she experienced her menstrual cycle her older sister tossed her a sanitary napkin in the bathroom and nothing else was said about the topic. In her home (growing up) personal subjects of this matter was not discussed. Her parents grew up in a generation that this topic was not talked about freely. Her first experience could have been improved upon. That was her first memory of this developmental stage.

When Ingrid had a daughter she wanted her experience to be more educational and fun. As her daughter started showing the signs of puberty she began to think of how she could make this time a more positive time for her. Ingrid started preparing for the day by picking up everything that she has in Her Memory Baskets. She wanted to make sure that her daughter could keep her personal supplies in the basket after it was given. She wanted her daughter to be prepared. When the basket was presented to her daughter, she loved it! Ingrid knew that would be a day that her daughter would never forget.

Ingrid wanted every young women to be able to have the same experience. So she developed Her Memory Baskets so each young women can have the same wonderful experience.
